Car Audio speakers

In every car audio setup, each stereo enthusiast makes sure that all aspects of the audio system as well as each one of the components are present. In fact, there have been many cases wherein some car enthusiast would intentionally double the amount of one or more components in order to make sure that a specific aspect which that component brings into the table would be properly taken care of. An example that I can attest to is with a car audio project that one of the leading car audio manufacturers successfully managed to do. It was a car stereo setup with two head units installed in the dash so as to properly showcase the car's capability to play any music file from any of the two head units.

In every car audio system, there are actually three kinds of speakers. And as what I have mentioned before, if you want to setup a good car stereo build, you will either make sure that each component is properly accounted for; if not then make sure that you have double. The three speakers are vital to each car stereo setup and in fact, without them, there is no possibility for you to hear any sound at all. This is because of the fact that speakers are what relays the sound and receives the electronic signal and transforms it into an audible sound. Just as there are the three sound ranges, namely the low sound range, the middle sound range as well as the high sound range.

The first type of speaker is the loud speaker; these types of speakers are basically what cater to the middle sound ranges, although they are basically able to resonate a huge range of sounds, they can only do so in a limited manner. Without the aid of other types of speakers, they cannot however fully produce the sound in a clear and crisp manner and the low notes would sound blunt and blurry while the high notes would sound quite pitchy. The melody and the median sound range however would be well accounted for and they would basically sound appropriately.

Car Audio

For most of us, a car audio system is nothing more than a device that plays our favorite music. However, our car audio systems are complex mechanisms. They consist of several small units. One unit of a good car audio system is the equalizer. It would be interesting to know more about the equalizer in a car audio system.

Understanding the Equalizer
A car audio equalizer can be defined as a high fidelity audio control. The equalizer enables the user to control different frequency bands in an audio system. The user can also see graphically or digitally (depending on the equalizer design) these sound frequencies with the help of the equalizer.

A regular car audio equalizer includes several audio filters or amplifiers. Each audio filter is centered on a particular frequency in the audio range.
The user can then decide which frequencies need to be boosted and which need to be turned down. This requires a level of skill. But you can try it out and see what works and what doesn't.
Now, that you can tweak the frequencies to change the sound doesn't mean you should do that with every CD you insert. This should actually be done only when you're setting up, upgrading or tuning/retuning your car audio system.

Car Audio - Eco Friendly Technology

Recently, there has been a lot of buzz about going green in an effort to keep our environment safe and sound. May industries have taken aggressive actions towards this type of campaign by re-engineering their products to make them environmentally safe. The car audio industry was one of the strong supports and they introduced new technologies that take the industry to a new level of maintaining a green environment.

2010 was a very busy year for the car audio manufacturers. They have deployed new techniques that will better benefit the environment and the consumer. Car enthusiasts will be interested in upgrading and customizing their vehicles more than ever due to the advanced technologies that were implement in new 2010 audio line.
Since headunits are considered to be one of the most important car audio components, well known manufacturers added new functionalities that will help provide better fuel consumption and efficiency. Name brand navigation units are equipped with a built-in Eco-friendly navigation feature which monitors your car's impact on the environment. This revolutionary technology will make the driver aware of his/her car's fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and fuel prices. The Eco friendly navigation sends recommendation on how to optimize fuel usage for better a driving experience.
Car stereos weren't the only thing to be enhanced, but also subwoofers. Car subwoofers are widely used among enthusiasts in an effort to improve their car's bass quality and depth. What most of them don't know is that these heavy gears take a lot of resources and vehicle space to be able to produce powerful sound. The first thing that engineers have done is to reduce sub size without sacrificing performance. They were finally able to reduce the mounting depth by 20% which helped installers to fit these new subs in any location even in small cars. By reducing the magnet size, manufacturers were able to use fewer materials when making car speakers without sacrificing performance.
Amplifiers also went thought many modifications. The 2010 amps are now loaded with new technologies that will allow them to produce more power for a longer time. Newer amplifiers need less power when boosting up due to circuitry additions and optimization. If you are used to own a bulky amplifier, you will be impressed with the newly designed ones. Amplifier's chassis was reduced to occupy less truck space, reduce fuel consumption and battery resources. Since overheating is a common issue for amps, some manufacturers provided an efficient heat management mechanism to keep it running cool all the time.
The car audio industry has gone through serious modifications to their product lines to make them run efficiently without taking a lot of resources. Car enthusiasts can now customize and personalize their car's sound system and get the most out every penny they spend. It's time for other industries to take action towards cleaner environment by producing products that take less power and require fewer resources.
